Name:
Flowerfur
Reason for name:
Flowerfur has very soft, flowing brown fur, not unlike a flower's petals.
Gender:
She-cat
Age:
43 moons
Position:
Deputy
Clan:
ThunderClan
Breakdown of abilities and weaknesses:
Speed: 4/5
Stamina: 3/5
Physical Strength: 2.5/5
Mental Strength: 4/5
Appearance:
Flowerfur has soft, wavy fur marred by the occasional battle scar. Nothing serious, just stuff from border tussles and prey that she didn't successfully sneak up on. She has a face not unlike today's housecats, but her eyes are amber as the dying sun. Her claws are short but strong and particularly sharp, good for close combat.
Flowerfur is particularly small for a cat, about the height of a new warrior, even though she's been a warrior for many moons. She uses her small size to her advantage, reaching places other cats can't.
Her fur is light brown with darker brown tabby markings, though her fur gets darker the closer to the off-white tail tip it is. Her fur gets lighter around her other extremities, like her legs, ears, and muzzle. The texture, as previously mentioned, is light and flowy. Is that a word? It is now.
Severity and Breakdown of Adaptations:
ThunderClan--Type Two
Secretion from Flowerfur's skin protects her from shocks (though she lacks this ability in some areas). Her tail is long and flexible, acting as a sort of extra limb. Like most ThunderClan cats, she can pass a weak shock through her fangs and claws; her pads seem unable to do this, though this is not a completely terrible thing.
Flowerfur is unique in that she is unable to control when she is shocking and when she is not. No play-bites, no play-fighting, because it will turn real very fast. The fact that she cannot shock through her pads is a blessing--she leaves no trail of burnt grass behind her, and can play with kits and touch other cats with her legs without zapping them. She is a polydactyl.
Personality:
Flowerfur is kind of like a mother to her Clan. She's stern and wields a sharp tongue, but she's got a kind heart and lends it to those who need comfort. She's protective over those she cares about.
The Deputy of ThunderClan chooses sharp words rather than sharp claws most of the time; she doesn't wish to plunge her Clan into war, but being passive-aggressive isn't a tactic she's above. This passive-aggressiveness can come off as demeaning (which it often is), so occasionally her words will start a fight rather than stop it.
She doesn't like fights, by the way. Flowerfur is somewhat of a cynic of day-to-day life, but views the world with an idealist's eyes, believing that the world can truly change for the better. And, of course, part of that view is that not every problem has to be solved with violence. It's too bad she was born into a Clan practically built upon war.
For some reason, the she-cat seems to "sense" things. This intuition has proved useful, but most often ends in tragedy, the most recent example being the big reveal of just what Elmstar's been hiding all these moons.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
[Intuitive]
Flowerfur seems to understand things at a spiritual level even she doesn't understand. She can vaguely understand the personality of a cat she's only ever looked at, and has a nose for danger.
[Friendly]
To her Clan, Flowerfur is like a mother in that she's caring and has a kind heart. During Gatherings, she'll talk to just about any cat about anything. Her idealism lends to this quality, but this can hurt her in the long run.
[Loyal]
Flowerfur's friends are not to be hurt. Nobody, no one, nothing is allowed to harm those she cares about. She will defend her Clan by any means necessary, even if that required her to sacrifice her life on the battlefield.
Weaknesses:
[Holds Grudges]
Those who wrong Flowerfur will not be forgotten. She will remember their names, their face, their scent... and she won't forgive them. She'll accept their apology, but she'll never truly forgive them. Granted, it's hard to anger her to this point, but when this point is reached, it's a point of no return.
[Difficult to Please]
If you're not an apprentice or kit, Flowerfur will be difficult to impress. Her spiritual intuition has led her to meet many different interesting cats, and you have to be pretty special to gain her interest. Not that she won't become your friend, but to become one of her close friends is a challenge. The fact that Flowerfur is not a mother is half her dedication to the warrior life and half the fact that many cats who walk up expecting to gain her as a mate simply aren't interesting enough to gain her approval.
[Prying]
Flowerfur never really lost the curiosity she had as a kit, which leads to her friendliness with every cat. However, she doesn't always know when to stop asking questions. This has led to a brief reputation among those who have been turned away by her as a "busybody" and "having her nose in everyone's business." She doesn't mean to do this, but Flowerfur just doesn't know how to stop.
Specific moral Values:
Forgive, but don't forget.
If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
Clan above all else.
Trust your gut.
The pen is mightier than the sword.
Relationships:
Tinycrow: Friend
Quailfoot: Friend
Elmstar: Wat
Lionstar: Annoying
History:
Flowerfur was born as the only child of two pure-blooded ThunderClan parents, and was a bit spoiled, which would affect her treatment towards kits throughout her entire life. She took great interest in becoming an honorable warrior of ThunderClan at a very early age, though had no express interest in becoming a leader. ("Who wants to die nine times? I don't!")
About halfway through her kithood, another queen came into the nursery and gave birth to several other kits, giving her company of her own age. It was discovered during play-fighting and games of mossball that Flowerkit's electricity coursed freely and without restraint. She was taught not to bite or claw things unless in danger of her life right after, which isolated her from the other kits who wanted to play in pretend Clan fights or hunt the mossball without it being charred to a crisp. Robbed of her kithood, she turned to the future.
Flowerkit was named an apprentice without incident. She was given a competent mentor and showed little ambition, but much potential. When her old nursery-mates showed up to become warriors with her, she acted as sort of a leader to them, telling them what to do and what not to do in the case of emergency and angry superiors.
She was a talented apprentice, particularly in climbing trees and hunting prey, though was shown to be lacking in cat-on-cat combat abilities. It was later revealed that she restrained herself because of her problems with electricity, not that she was bad at combat.
Flowerpaw gained her warrior name and quickly set on the path to prove herself as worthy of the warrior name, and to show kindness to all who deserve it. She has been in ThunderClan for a while, has seen a leader die eight times, seen a medicine cat accept death when it hasn't called for her, and has mentored several apprentices.
She found out a dark secret in the Clan shortly before being appointed deputy, which was relatively recently. She's trying her best to keep the current "cold war" between ThunderClan and RiverClan from going hot, but it's difficult. Sometimes she feels like the only sane cat in her Clan, but she's loyal to the end.

Extra:
Flowerfur has a promise to Elmstar that if he starts to lose his mind, she'll kill him. She doesn't like this promise and regrets making it, but plans to keep it because, well, she promised. This is what happens when you pry into others' lives.
Her old denmates was Elmstar's second litter. Tinycrow is actually a pretty good friend of hers, even if Flowerfur "insulted" her by saying early into Tinycrow's apprenticeship that she wasn't going to be a good medicine cat.
Writing Sample:
Beautiful morning, it was. Sun shining. Birds singing. All that stuff. Flowerfur walked along a warrior patrol, fighting to keep her fur from prickling while also listening and smelling for other Clans. Why was she upset? Elmstar was leading it. She wanted to confront him about whatever he'd done, but it wasn't like she had proof. Of anything at all, actually.
She shook her head free of such thoughts and pretended Elmstar was some other cat. Squirrels and the like rustled in the trees above, but this was a patrol, not a hunting party. Her stomach growled, but by the time they got back to the Hometree a hunting party would have returned and the freshkill pile would be full with prey. Her mouth watered at the thought of it.
No, focus! Flowerfur thought to herself. Say she was daydreaming to herself and failed to scent a cat of another Clan and cause harm to herself and her Clan! She wasn't about to let herself be responsible for that. Forcing herself to forget about Elmstar and her gnawing hunger, she lifted her head and patrolled with dignity.
