Well, I found a voice
I am a force
Reckon with me

There is that pride
I must apologize
If you can still speak
I'll listen, I'll try

Personality
:[Arrogant] [bold] [adamant] [Proud] [independent] [brave] [ambitious] [Reckless] [Empathetic] [Loyal]
• [Arrogant] Gorsehawk thinks very highly of himself and doesn't have a problem with letting others know. He often exaggerates his own abilities, putting himself and others in dangerous situations.
• [Bold] The brawny tom is very confident and is not afraid to take risks. He clearly lacks any form of shame and modesty.
• [Adamant] Once his mind is set, he is not easily detoured. If one thing could be said about Gorsehawk, it is that he persistant and always follows through with his decisions and promises.
• [Proud] Gorsehawk struggles with this a great deal. When the tom is wrong, his pride almost always gets in the way of him admitting he was wrong and it interferes with his better judgement.
• [Independent] The tom is fiercely independent and simply loathes others taking care of him. The last place you would find this tom is in the medicine den. After battles, you might have to drag him in to provide treatment. While he will look out for others, he wants no one looking out for him. He wants to do everything by himself and for himself. Others taking care of him makes him feel weak, and that is something he just can't have.
• [brave] Whether it is valor or plain stupidity, Gorsehawk is courageous if nothing else. He is first into battle, and last to flee. However, do not be deceived. The tom is no battle hungry ruffian. He would rather avoid battle if given the chance. But no matter the circumstance, he is never afraid to fight and would never back down from one.
• [Ambitious] The warrior definitely possesses dreams and goals. He desires to become the next deputy of his clan and will always pursue his vision. But regardless, he is not the kind of cat who will let that ambition control him and allow it to waver his loyalty to Skyclan.
• [Reckless] The tom has the nasty habit of 'leaping before he looks.' He rarely thinks his actions through and rushes head first into everything.
• [Empathetic] Probably the only trait he inherited from his mentor. Despite his rough exterior, the tom is very insightful and compassionate. With much ease, he can put himself in another cat's paws and understand and share their feelings.
• [Loyal] Gorsehawk puts the clan above himself at all times. He would, without a moment of hesitation, lay his life down for his clan. He follows the warrior code word for word, but at the same time, he isn't afraid to break the rules if he feels the cause is necessary.

History
Kithood: Gorsehawk, then Gorsekit, was born and bred as an only child in Skyclan. He was given his name for his spiky, mottled brown fur that dappled his snowy white fur. His pelt resembled the gorse bushes on the white snowdrifts that covered Skyclan's territory. His mother was a pretty brown she-cat named hawkfeather, who spoiled him adoringly. She loved her only son and would let the young kit get away with murder. This is probably what led to his arrogant personality. His father was a fine warrior of Skyclan, but he didn't visit the nursery as much as some of the other fathers and showed little interest in his son until he was apprenticed. Gorsekit's mother said this was because he was awkward around kits and that he didn't know how to interact with them. In any case, Gorsekit always looked up to his father and placed him in high regards.
Apprenticeship: The clan had high expectations for the young tom when he reached his sixth moon and received the name 'Gorsepaw'. With his father being such a fine warrior, this was also expected of the young tom. The tom had high expectations and ambitions when entering his apprentice ceremony, only to have that eagerness crushed upon receiving Bumblestep, the joke of the clan, the reject, as a mentor. The tom was a useless lump of white fur in the apprentice's eyes. His 'mentor' couldn't do anything right himself, so Gorsepaw often found himself learning the skills he needed on his own. Sometimes the apprentice thought he knew more on his own than his mentor. He resented his mentor, and always smarted off to him, showing him little to no respect. But who could blame him? After all he was stuck with the goofball.
Fortunately, his father finally became more involved in his life. He would often help out with his training sessions and volunteer to observe him on his assessments. While he never built a solid relationship with his son, Gorsepaw's father always made it clear he was proud of him.
But young Gorsepaw's apprenticeship was not always a happy experience. One morning the he awoke to find that his father had mysteriously disappeared; vanished from the territory. His mother, who he was particularly close to, was enveloped in grief. She contracted sickness soon after his disappearance, and passed away shortly after. This was a hard blow to the young apprentice, and he was thrown into a slump for a few moons. However, with the help of his mentor, he soon recovered and grew into a fine warrior. This was when the wayward tom began to build a relationship with his mentor. During the last few moons of his apprenticeship, Gorsepaw began to finally respect Bumblestep, now awarded the deputy position and the new name Stealthstep.
Warrior: At his warrior ceremony, he requested to be named 'Gorse'hawk', in honor of his late mother. Though such a thing was unusual, his leader accepted and granted the new warrior his wish. For the next several moons, he would do all he could to support his clan, whether it be going on extra patrols or running errands. When the leader of SkyClan fell ill, his former mentor became more of a figure head, and Gorsehawk would try to support his friend the best he could. Eventually, the leader perished, leaving SkyClan in the paws of Stealthstar. The new leader gave Gorsehawk Furzepaw to mentor, and also awarded the young tom the position of Deputy.
Deputyship: Young and inexperienced, young Gorsehawk jostles to earn the respect of his clanmates. He will stop at nothing to prove his worth and secure his position.

Perhaps one daughter... maybe. An adopted daughter.

Diplomatic views: Gorsehawk does all that is asked of him. He will stay by his Clan's side even in a battle he knows is wrong. Because he is a firm believer of the warrior code, he believes the leader's word is the code, therefore, he must follow. However, if he feels unfairly treated, he will challenge whoever made the mistake of wronging him.
Mentor: Stealthstep/Stealthstar
Apprentice: Furzepaw
Relationships
Stealthstar: My mentor, my leader, my friend, and my closest advisor. I owe a lot to my former mentor. I am so proud of the great lump of fur. Watching him go from a fat lard to a respectable fat lard has been a trip! I am honored to serve as his deputy and I will stand by him and his decisions no matter what challenges lay ahead.
Furzepaw: My....Apprentice... If he would just try and be useful he could be brilliant. But instead he spends his time basking in his own filth and indolence.
Snowflower: She is a pleasant enough she-cat. Pretty too. Too bad I couldn't mentor one of her kits...

Taken from a TGB RolePlay; Character: Mikah
A soft breeze whistled through the reeds along the river, bestowing the scenery with a melodic essence. The full moon, which was now at it's highest perch in the sky, bathed the landscape below in a silver hue. Everything appeared silent and peaceful, most creatures asleep or well hidden amongst the foliage. The current churned the waters of the nearby stream, causing meek waves to lap at the shore. The sound was gentle and comforting in the realm of darkness.
A shadowy figure roamed the shore, casting a tall shadow across the pebbles. Only the sound of his paw-steps disrupted the serene night air. His stormy grey pelt made him seem one with the shadows as he lurked across the moonlit shore. Though he was relatively small in stature, the tom was firmly built. It appeared that he traded in his lithe and scrawny build of adolescence in for his current muscular and fit build of an adult guard. Confident and strong, the tom padded on, grey head held high.
The Green-water left his fellow guards back at camp sleeping. Everyone seemed rather worn out after a days worth of patrols. Most of his peers had apprentices of their own to train and shape into future guards of the Tribe. Mikah, on the other hand, was free of such duties and usually had a lot of free time on his paws. In fact, he spent the majority of his time out and about, roaming the territories. The tom often got sidetracked from his patrols within Water-Tribe territory, and would veer off towards the neutral lands. Though such behavior was irresponsible, the young guard never received any fuss over it.
With all his the guards sound asleep, the tom decided to take it upon himself to carry out the night patrol. Though Mikah was not tired, just the thought of the slumbering guards' soft snores were nearly enough to lure the golden-eyed tom to sleep. So to prevent that from happening, it was best that he kept his mind occupied and his paws moving.
Finally fatigue, induced by sheer boredom, enveloped the young feline, and he took a seat beside at the water's edge. His mind wrapped itself in a daydream as he stared out across the river and to the meadows beyond. A cricket chimed in the distance, causing the young tom to open his better eye. The golden orb gleamed brilliantly in the darkness. Letting out a content sigh, the green-water began to slide to his belly. A nap couldn't hurt right?
Just before the his belly-fur touched the cool pebbles, a deep, feminine voice ringed through the silence, jarring the young daydreamer from his reverie. The startle caused him to leap to his paws, fur on end and tattoo flickering with alarm. He recognized the voice of his deputy, Sterling. Suddenly self-conscience, the young tom stood straight and allowed his fur to lie flat before he went to her.
Activating the Green tattoo that rested upon his shoulder, he began to feel his surroundings with his mind. His intent was to pinpoint her exact location so he'd be able to go straight to her rather than tromp around blindly. She was water-walking the river just down stream from his current location. Taking a deep breath to settle his nerves, the grey guard padded towards her. As he neared the bend of the stream, he caught a glimpse of the yellow glow of her tattoo. Confidently, he padded up to her, calling out a polite greeting.
"Good evening, Sterling," He dipped his head to the thick-furred she-cat. "What can I do for you?" He asked. It was quite unusual for the young tom to come across the dark furred feline out of camp. For the past moon or so, the Water-Tribe deputy kept to herself and Mikah hadn't seen so much as a whisker of her since the move to the northern territory.
