basic identity •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Name: Ezra Age: His appearance is that of a young man, aged in his early twenties or so, though he is much, much older. Putting an exact number to his existence would be extremely tricky. Over six thousand years. Date of Birth: Unknown. Just as Ezra's age is impossible to accurately pinpoint, so is his birthday. Gender: Male Sexuality: Strangely enough, now Occupation: Allegiance: None Being: God of Greed & Envy appearance •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Build: A body marked by years of recovered (and recently relapsed) drug-use, Ezra's physique is a bit underweight with defined bones and prominent angles. Standing at a rather tall height of 6'4'', and with his skinny, twig-like physique, Ezra is awkwardly tall. His long, lanky frame lacks significant muscle and him fighting or brawling is... quite the laughable image. He often appears a person easily-dominated and feminine — certainly not a fighter of any sort. With the easy, placid way he carries himself, it is also apparent that he does not take himself for a man of intimidation nor strives to be perceived as one. Hair: Ezra's hair is such a dark shade of brown that it is easily mistaken for black. However, when caught in proper lighting, it is highlighted with a reflective, unmistakably-tawny hue. Naturally, it curls about his face in loose, feathery waves, but he prides himself in his appearance and it is always styled. Sometimes he has it dyed black, styled quite wildly, and highlighted with blonde streaks. Sometimes it's just slicked back or pinned up — it all depends on his mood and how much time he allots to preparing for the day. Eyes: Ezra's eyes are narrow, piercing, and colored the deep, brown hue of bark. Calculating, intelligent, and always glimmering with a certain irrevocable yearning; a certain, eager searching. While his eyes are almost vapid in hue, they are noted to be quite colorful in expression. They glimmer with joy when he is happy, pierce with misery when he is pained, and always portray his emotions, unbridled. With this though, one must be wary — Ezra is a keen deceiver. His eyes can shine with a convincing, gentle compassion, when... in truth... Face: Ezra's face is one of prominent, defined features, giving him the appearance of an almost-androgynous young man. His smile always seems perfectly at-place upon his thick, pale lips and can transform his long, angular disposition into one of accented dimples and laugh-lines. Usually there is always some sort of smile on the god's lips, whether it be the frequent, crooked tug of just one corner or the wide, white-toothed grin that's almost always accompanied by a chuckle. His smiles are frequent and easy; even in the most trivial of conversations, the corners of his lips are usually curling upward at some point or another. His smile is a charming sight, Significant Markings (Scars/Piercings/Tattoos): Pierced tongue; pierced right eyebrow; pierced ears (various/many); a tattoo upon his ribs (both sides, scripts); back tattoo; tattoo upon forearm; track marks upon inner arms. Physical Defaults: None Face Claim: Bill Kaulitz personality •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Likes: Drugs, sex, power, seduction, wealth, possessions, talents, the spotlight, competing for attention, good-looking people, success, feeling significant, feeling wanted, feeling needed, when people compliment him, alcohol, having a good time, the occasional liberty to be his bitchy self, pain, vanity, saying shocking things just to see how others react Dislikes: There are also many things that he is jealous of and therefore dislikes (one example being Jorik's beauty), when others "steal away" the attention, being ignored, being undermined, someone telling him that "he can't" do or have something, having his attempts at seduction deflected, someone being chosen over him Hobbies: Though relatively feminine in his mannerisms, Ezra enjoys boyish activities like fast cars, mountain biking, and four-wheeling; competing for attention; stirring up drama in the mortal world; Habits: Drugs, Strengths: Resilient, Weaknesses: Drugs, explosive temperament, inappropriate and intense anger can sometimes cloud judgment, never satisfied (never has enough, someone always has something better, etc.), has a tendency to be radical, damaged sense of worth, dependent upon attention (hates being alone), easily provoked, narcissism, reckless, inability to express himself/can't ever say what he's feeling Fears: Not being good enough, rejection, eventually becoming worthless and unwanted by everyone, not being important to anyone at all Personality: Ezra has calmed down and matured in the past few hundred years. Where he was once a wild and flighty creature, he now has a better handle on himself and is capable of being rather inconspicuous. Of course he isn't one who prefers being under-the-radar and instead chooses to radiate under the attention of others. Nonetheless, he can be invisible when it suits his intentions. He is eager, flirty, and at times downright outrageous. Although he is capable of control, there are times when he has no desire whatsoever to control himself. He only exercises level-headedness when it serves some purpose or is necessary. (For example, he'll restrain himself more in Adulstrullum because the Gods and Goddesses there belittle him, but among the mortals only when he needs to.) If someone is pissing him off or irritating him, he might not even hesitate to hit them. If someone is screaming in his face, he'll scream back. He's also known to do startling things and say shocking thing, just to see how those around him react. He loves attention and can be both aggressive in attaining it as well as competitive in retaining it. Ezra is always wanting and yearning for everything. Sex is certainly one of his favorite pastimes, but definitely not the only thing he lusts for. He also desires money, attention, fame, and the frequent high (be it from drinking, drugs, or a good thrill), and these desires can never be completely satisfied. He likes to surround himself with beauty (be it in the form of lovers, friends, or just the scenery) but it has never been enough. No matter how much he has, he's always empty and wanting more. [strikethroughohmygod][strikethroughagainthisissoinaccurate] In the end, Ezra is just a complicated man who's never been satisfied with himself, despite often coming across as cocky and overtly self-assured. His self-esteem is actually terribly lacking and there's always something for him to better about himself. Someone else is always more attractive than him or has more. He's never good enough, and deep down, he's convinced that he's not important to anyone at all. Perhaps he really isn't. history •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Mother: Unknown Father: Unknown Siblings: Adstrullum Gods & Goddesses Other: Leszek Poole [follower/sort-of friend] Home: Adstrullum Origins: Unknown Weaponry: Well I suppose, if you're creative, a pocketful of drugs and a lighter could wreak some damage. History: Ezra was born a curious little God. Quiet, unobtrusive, and wide-eyed, he didn't exactly have much of an identity at first. In the beginning he simply observed others, stayed in the background, and remained silent. He was overlooked and detached from the other Gods. Eventually, he grew jealous of the friendships they formed. Although his isolation was practically self-imposed, he wanted to be a part of the comradity that the others shared. Ultimately, he came to the conclusion that he wasn't good enough and contented himself with observing and yearning at a distance. As he grew though, his desire for attention and friendship intensified. It seemed to him that, to be liked, he needed to be everything the others were. He grew his hair out like that of the prettiest Goddess. His closet was full of clothes similar to those of the coolest God. Instead of forming his own identity, he began making himself from the little pieces and bits that he saw and admired in others. At last he was hungry for attention and he wanted it; would do anything to get it. If that meant he had to insult or embarrass one person in order to be noticed by another, then he did it mercilessly. When this sort of behavior didn't win him many friends, he tried harder to make himself better. It was about this time that he took interest in the mortal world and began to turn his attention to humankind. Abandoning the Gods, he immersed himself in the affairs of humans and found they were much more obliging to his cry for the spotlight. His ambitions continued to grow. He wanted to be the man sleeping with thirty women in one night. He wanted to be a man people feared and loved. He wanted to be beautiful and in the spotlight. He wanted to possess power and have everything at once; be everything at once. So, in a wild search for attention, he began to dress and style his hair different. The more people took notice of him, the happier he was. He grew insanely jealous when others shadowed him and competed against them for the focus of any one person. This even carried into his sexuality — he began sleeping with men and vying for their attention, simply because he couldn't stand them choosing a woman over him. Ezra became demanding, needy, and dark. Once a quiet, unobtrusive boy with little sense of identity, he had now sculpted himself into a very distinct person, defined by a desperate need for attention, competition, and possession. The more he ran rampant among the mortals, the more that he tasted and gained — the more he wanted and craved more and more. Always more. The drugs came more often, the sex became a way of life, and he gradually began to get out of control. He grew angry because it — the constant stream of drugs in his veins, the money, the men and the women — was never enough. He was never satisfied. Someone always had more, or had something better. There was always something he didn't have and needed to have. It became an obstacle to his happiness. Empty. No matter how much he pumped in his veins, how many material items he surrounded himself with, or how many partners he took to bed, he was always left empty. So he returned to Adstrullum. He rehabilitated himself back home and distanced himself from the world where he could take, take, and take. Among the other Gods, no one put up with his shit. Every one else was much more important than him, more significant and fulfilled — among them he was simply a needy little child, screaming and kicking for attention. They knew who he was and weren't as easy victims to his manners and ways. It was healthy for him; to be reminded how insignificant he really was. He didn't return to the mortal world for a very long time. Only when the world was ravaged by the apocalypse did he once again take interest in it. Now he walks both worlds, taking all he wants and always searching for he-doesn't-know-what. He's very much the same person, but with a better handle on himself. Now he is capable of control. His seductions are more subtle; his raging envy veiled by calm, masterful calculation. He's become a master of deceit and manipulation. He still has a desperate need and desire for attention, drugs, power, and sex; he's just matured — become dangerous, smart, and devious. extra stuff •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Theme Song: I'm not so sure about a theme song, but the lyrics I used at the beginning of the biography are from Fall Out Boy's "America's Suitehearts". Some other songs that I find somewhat fitting would include... Korn's "A.D.I.D.A.S" (Warning: Quite Explicit) — "Somehow it always seems that I'm dreaming of something I can never be". That line right there describes perfectly Ezra's struggle with never feeling good enough; Tokio Hotel's "Attention" — "Starving for your love and I need your attention or I'm gonna die... I'm trying to tell you, I'm trying to know you, I'm dying to show you, fighting to get you. Soon as you got me, you go and drop me, I love how your hurt me. Oh no, I'll never let you go. Oh no, I hate that I need you so."; The Medic Droid's "Fer Sure" (Warning: Quite Explicit) — "Drugs on the dashboard... all this time is wasted pretending we're in love, but that's alright, cause you know i love seeing you cry... we're not falling in love, we're just falling apart, so let's dance the night away,"; The Used's "All That I've Got "I need something else, would someone please just give me? I can laugh all I want inside, I still am empty."; I'm sorry to anyone who actually goes and listens to these songs... I'm on my dinosaur-desktop, so I couldn't check all the Youtube links to see if they're all correct. Here's hoping that Google gets things right! Extras: I can't even describe where this came from. Just sort of popped out of me. I don't think I've roleplayed a character like him before, so it'll be interesting. Inspiration: Listened to a lot of music while making him. Gogol Bordello, Tokio Hotel, Jesper Kyd, Howard Shore, Akiko Shikata, Chiaki Namisaki, Kow Otani, E.S Posthumus that sort of jazz. I was also watching Fullmetal Alchemist when trying to think of the type of Goddess and sort of fell in-love with Lin~ ♥ Seven Deadly Sins Results: Very High: Wrath, Envy, Lust, & Pride / High: Greed / Medium: Gluttony, Sloth Personality Disorder Results: 75% — 100%: Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic / 50% — 75%: Paranoid, Schizotypal, Dependent / 25% — 50%: Schizoid, Narcissistic (feel like this should be higher), Avoidant / Less than 25%: Obsessive-Compulsive Mary Sue Results: 6 |
