Hello Everyone; I feel as if I haven’t done the best job explaining how to go about actually doing the assignment and turning it in, so here’s a tutorial if you need help.
1. Read the Assignment
This is perhaps the most important part of understanding how to do this. Until we get enough members for each clan to have a different assignment, we will be having site wide assignments that effect everyone the same. Someone will give you a 2nd Person writing sample as well as an explanation for what you need to do in your assignment, as seen here. Please be sure to read it carefully. While you do not have to start the assignment exactly how we pointed out, you need to end up addressing the given topic on some way.
2. Decide how you will go about completing this assignment
So now you understand what your topic; what now? Well, there are a few ways for you to complete this assignment. The first way is to roleplay it out with other; you make a thread in one of the roleplay boards, then you wait for someone to reply to your thread. If you have a problem finding a partner to rp with you, an admin will assign you a partner. The second way is to draw/paint/sculpt a piece of artwork that pertains to the topic. This can be in any form, even in the form of a short story, if you would like. I encourage the first option, but if you feel as if you would do a better job independently, then feel free. If you want to include anyone else’s character, then get permission from the owner of the character. If you would like to have someone draw illustrate a story that another has written, please be sure to tell us.
3. ’Finish’ the Assignment
Until more people arrive, we will consider a ‘finished’ assignment something that each person has posted in the thread at least once. This will not count if you give us a paragraph or two for a reply, as we are a literate site. We want large replies for the assignment, and if you can only manage short replies, then you need to post until you have posted 5 or more times. We count a good post to be between 3-5 paragraphs (depending on the size of your paragraphs) or more. If you chose the independent assignment, I would like them to be 80% done, as you don’t have to wait on anyone to reply to continue. These need to be visible to at least the admin.
4. Turn in the Assignment to be assessed
I would like you to return to your bio and click the modify/edit button. If you used the proper bio, then you should have an area marked ‘Assignments’. If not, make the area. Put a bulleted list and hyperlink ([ur l=insertlink][/ur l] ) a link to the assignment next to one bullet with the title SPECIFICALLY being “Month(s) Assignment: Title of link (included characters[andtheirowners])”. Then save your changes. This will allow me to quickly skim through the characters and see who doesn’t have an assignment. If you have problems with this, please PM it to an admin, and they will insert it where needed.
5. Wait for Feedback
That’s it~ If we’d like you to improve something, then we’ll tell you. If you turned in an assignment though, you are safe.
