Making friends was an inner value. Hop. Of course, it would sure be fantastic to have some friends. Skip. But of course, she really only talked to Sparrowpaw because she was shy. Trip. Letting her mind wander was such a constant crime, and it really bothered her a times. Recovering from her stumble, the fox red she-cat sighed, her pastel yellow eyes slightly frustrated, but still holding her usual spirit within their captivating depths. Remembering her mother’s words, the ones where she always said never to linger on the past and to just continue moving, Cardinalpaw flicked her tail and continued to make her way across the clearing from the apprentice’s den to a sunny spot to warm herself up on the chilly morning. Of course, she wasn’t trying to make it into a game any more. She’d already done that. Failed, at that, and she wasn’t intent on trying it again. Cardinalpaw was seven moons old now, and playing silly little games like a kitten just wouldn’t do for her anymore. Even though they were so much fun, and she adored them, she knew her brother frowned down on it, so she wouldn’t do it. For Sparrowpaw. Flicking her tail as she reached her destination, the seven moon old grinned with delight.
Sitting down and wrapping her tail over her paws and curled up in the patch of sunlight. There really weren’t any signs of life in the camp as it was that awkward time where everyone not on the dawn patrol was sleeping, and the dawn patrol was out. But of course, Cardinalpaw wanted to get out, get cozy, and sleep until the patrol returned. Then she’d jump right up and say she was awake the entire time. It was foolproof, as she wouldn’t actually be asleep. More like, dozing off, catching up on the sleep she didn’t get the night before because she was doing something stupid. Like staring at the moon, or chasing snowflakes as they fell from the midnight blue sky with a delicate grace that fascinated the young apprentice. She had a whole lot on her shoulders, every single emotion that wasn’t happiness had been trapped inside of her at birth, and at times it squeezed the breath from her. But she’d never let it win. Losing was something Cardinalpaw just didn’t agree with, and never let it rear its ugly face anywhere near her. Though, she’d only ever really competed with her littermate, and her legs were abnormally long, so she’d beaten him
He’d hit his growth spurt eventually, the fox red she-cat was sure of it, but right now she was really wishing she wasn’t so, you know, tall. It was one thing to be a little taller than average? But the difference her and a few of her clanmates was breath taking, and at times Cardinalpaw just wanted to hide in a large snowdrift and never come out. Sighing, she wrapped her tail around her to keep her warm, her tail tip tickling her nose softly. A small laugh danced off of her tongue, which just made her laugh even more, because her laugh was just so funny in its own self. Sneezing, she frowned. Sitting up, she lifted a paw and rubbed her nose softly, though it seemed she had a tuft of her stuck in her nose. It was making her sneeze non-stop, and by now she found herself on her back, rolling on the ground laughing and sneezing. Oh, Cardinalpaw was just so discombobulated sometimes, it really did amuse the life out of her most of the time. “Help, someone, please.” She laughed in her loud voice, trying to stifle another sneeze.

Thawedfoot yawned and stretched as he awoke from his slumber. He stood up from his comfortable ledge where he had been resting and looked out upon the rest of the camp. The sound of happy mewling echoed in his ears and he turned to see the apprentice, Cardinalpaw laying on the ground in an amusing fit of hiccup induced laughter. He had always had a special liking for youngsters. The Warrior softly padded towards Cardinalpaw, his right hind leg dragging behind him, "Having some issues are we? Try this, it will help the tickling," He grinned, then began to lightly rub his nose on the cold ground. The white tom sat back on his haunches and nudged his dragging limb beside him before wrapping his tail neatly around him. Thawedfoot glanced around once more, there was not much activity in the camp yet, he thought it odd that the little one was up already, but then again it usually was the young ones that showed the most ambition.
