That's a lot of reading and a lot of work... meaning... [/b] to narcotics, and a troublemaking nuisance. at least, that's all you'll probably see in him. with his reckless behaivor, tendency to cause disorder, and little regard for 'filtering', this kid is easy to judge. in fact, with just a look at his lanky, awkwardly-adolescent body, grunge-like attire, and green/yellow dyed hair, you'll probably already conjur your perspective of him. he doesn't care what you think of him, although he'd absolutely love to surprise you. read more here.[/color][/blockquote]

while it takes a special person to grow affections for an addict, when it comes to such departments, covah isn't the person you'd initially imagine. he isn't a womanizer and he doesn't recycle through women recklessly without regard. in fact, he's nearly the opposite. while in public, he'll don a false aura of daring confidence, but when alone with a female, one might be surprised to find that he's reticent and — believe it or not — shy! he's watched his father go through so many relationships without connection or meaning and, perhaps because of this exposure, covah looks for actual value and attatchment when it comes to love.

those who are attracted to carefree fun and things of such nature will definitely be drawn to covah, and he's bound to have some partners-in-crime, as well as fellow addicts he's gotten to know from his bouncing in and out of rehab. although one would guess that covah's relationships are shallow and that the bonds of friendships are secondary to him, but such an assumption is wholly false. certainly, he has connections with people who supply his addiction, but he does not consider those people friends. if you are a friend to covah, then he is dedicated to you. more so than you'll ever know.

covah tends to not like those who judge him, particularly those who judge him without first attempting to know him. to those people who look down on him with disdain and condesendance, he'll obediantly conform to their perspective of him — for in all honesty, no matter what he proves to them, the view of such people will never change. to these people, he'll be the obnoxious, destructive kid that they have him pegged as. he'll jab at them with witty comments and succeed well in instilling a bit of disorder to their lives. there are many other causes to dislike covah though, all of which he could care less about and will — most likely — embrace and goad.

* k o r s o & h a v o i r ,, you see, it's kind of a love/hate type thing. korso, if you haven't already guessed, is covah's father and the two are constantly chasing/avoiding each other in a vicious cycle of ever-shifting disdain, remorse, and a conflicted desire to get along.

I'm posting it so you can let me know how I'm doing so far, what I need to change, and if I should keep going or start over. All i've done so far is the basic header. I still need to sort out the text colors, make a footer and add lyrics.

Lyrics: a mishmash of seventeen, girls, and the state of dreaming all by marina and the diamonds, but if you can't get a good mix, just use any of them.

Theme: cold? forlorn? lonely?
Other: add her name somewhere, maybe? but her warrior name, so i can use it for all stages of her life!

Why, yes, I can! And one of the few things I've actually been successful with in v5 is tables — they come out a lot cooler in v5 since there are tons of style tags now available to you. So... if you want... take a glance at the table below; one of my v5 templates on a past site. If you'd like something more like that instead of your current v4-made ones, I can do that too.

Cringing against the nauseating scent of whiskey, Percy’s trembling lips parted to offer an apologize; one he was almost certain would be ineffective. Before the words could form, however, an angry cry interrupted them and he was dropped back to his feet. ”You motherfucker, turn the fuck around!” Percy’s face fell in horror as Skyler (who looked as thin and fragile as a snappable twig compared to the burly brick he faced) smashed a fist into the guy’s face as he turned. There was hardly even a moment for a look of confusion to cross the drunkard’s face before he retaliated with a sharp curse and an answering blow; a forceful counter that met Skyler’s jaw with an audible crack and brought the boy crashing to his knees. For a moment, Skyler didn’t move, and Percy relocated his strength and leaped forward. When his brother raised his bloody face (sliced by sharp, biting metal), made terrible in its sudden, fiery fury, Percy shook his head from side to side violently.  Skyler’s eyes blazed with fire and, at first, he didn’t even see his brother. Struggling to his feet, his gaze darted around, trying to see through the haze of pain and spinning colors that sought to hinder him. ”Stop, no! Skyler, come on! Please!” The desperate plea — dangerously-close to a shattered sob — in Percy’s voice was the only thing that restrained him as the room began to still. Injured hazel eyes, wide with terror,  blurred by impending tears, gazed up at him; pursed lips threatened to tremble as they formed another inaudible pretense; hands grasped at his arms in a wild attempt to pull him away. Nostrils flaring, Skyler’s eyes returned to the burly man, still looming before him in a defensive, expecting stance; watching the brothers’ exchange with similar fury — waiting to see what came of it. Tapping into the reserves of self-will that he wasn’t aware he possessed (especially with the amount of alcohol in his veins), Skyler straightened himself, sucked in a sharp inhale, and spit at the man’s feet, then succumbed to his twin’s tugging. Without a word, he let Percy pull him through the club, and before he could even confront the stinging ache in his jaw, the harsh sounds of nightlife were fading and he was surrounded by the near-silence of clean, liberating outdoors; disturbed only by his own ragged breathing, the throbbing of blood in his ears, and Percy’s shaky attempt to keep from crying.  Casting the boy a sidelong glance, Skyler laid a hand on those that still clutched his arm and allowed a breath to slip from his  lips, the fury from his body, and the tension from his muscles. ”You okay?” He slurred, the words thick and clumsy on his tongue. As he spoke, his eyes fluttered shut and he swayed dangerously. Percy’s breath hitched as his twin drug the both of them to the side and stumbled against the building they were walking parallel to. ”Oh, Skyler,” he breathed sadly as his brother began to slump down the wall, despite his futile attempt to keep the intoxicated man upward. He tried to pull Skyler’s arm over his shoulder so he could support his weight, but the drunkard had already sunk like a dead-weight to the ground, eyes closed and face still streaming a thick trail of scarlet.  Percy gazed upon his twin for a long moment, before crouching beside him, bowing his head, and choking down the defeat that was quickly clawing its way up his throat. Raising a hand as tears brimmed in his eyes, he placed a cool, light palm to his brother’s wet, swollen cheek. Not so many years ago, it was an oft occasion that Skyler stepped in-between him and the falling  fists; that his twin rescued him from the abuse by accepting the punishment himself. Never had he cried or objected — with each bruise and ache, the solid (and too often unhappy) man had only grown more steadfast and cold.   It’d been awhile since he’d had to nurse his brother’s wounds, and the feel of hot, crimson-covered skin beneath his fingers was enough to tear mercilessly at his chest. ”We have to get you home,” he whispered as the first tear trickled down his face. Thanks but no thanks, Oaks. I'm perfectly fine with my simple templates. Thanks for offering to do the effort of such a... complex template, Oaks! I just like my little simple templates. Sorry. As long as it has the names and the text is visible on the background, I'm perfectly fine with it.



(Though sometimes I do get a little jealous when I see people with templates and I don't have one, which makes me feel left out, and I don't like that feeling and then I feel obligated to get a template and I feel bad about making others do templates for me, but I really don't need a template and kind of feel guilty for asking for a template when I don't really like all the details.)

You input the coding to the template in the "Posting Templates" field, which you can find when you go to edit your member profile! I think it is under the "Settings" tab, but I'm not too sure.
