I’m going to cut straight to the chase; I’ve been seeing a lot of naming issues around the sites, so here are the rules for creating and accepting names.
1. Keep them Realistic
We do not want Rainbowdash and Applejack here; Warriors would never have names that would be in the My Little Pony universe, so if it sounds ridiculous, please, think of another name. If you need help here are some helpful links to get you started on thinking of a name.
2. Provide reasoning
If a character has acceptable reasoning to their name, and the Admin have allowed it to pass, then it is acceptable. We are not here to constrict your naming of your character. We want this to be as creative as possible, but we also want this to be as accurate as possible. A cat will not be named ‘Blacktalon’ if they are a white cat that cannot hunt well. For example, a cat named Goldenflower would have a motherly instinct, but it does not necessarily mean she would have kittens. As long as you can say why your cat was named what you want them to be named, we will most likely accept it.
3. Don’t overanalyze
Admin, some names are just nice to hear, and as long as proper reasoning is supplied and it doesn’t break any rules, it should be accepted. Don’t get down to the tiniest detail and pick apart the name; being too picky is just annoying sometimes. Imagine if it was your bio and then make a fair decision and explain why you didn’t accept the name. Allow the creator to try to defend themselves if they want to, and offer them suggestions if you can. If there is any doubt and you want a third opinion, ask another admin and they will be the tie breaker. What the third party says goes as long as they provide reasoning for their decision.
These rules are pretty easy to follow, right? Questions? Complaints? PM one of the admin, but do not comment on this thread. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and enjoy your stay!
