Shrikepaw [Peacock]
Peacock kept herself hid the entire fight, not wanting to get her paws dirty or hurt. The she-cat tucked herself into a leafy mass on a branch and remained silent for the duration of the battle, and when the Rogues finally scattered she slid down and pretended she had been there the entire time. Within seconds of the heathens fleeing a Queen rushed out of the Nursery, worry on her face as she wobbled out with her swollen belly. "The kits are gone!" She cried out in panic before her face contorted into a look of pain. She looked like she was about to kit, another realized that and ran to her side to help her back. Peacock gave the Clan a quick glance before breaking the silence with a snarky "I'll get them, don't worry guys." and with that, strutted out of camp with a grin on her face.
It wasn't that she didn't try looking for the kits, it was just that she didn't care. The white she-cat sauntered around to find any hints of cats but they were far too gone. Though she did find a blood trail and followed that instead, it was more of a leisurely walk than an urgent race against time. She was going to be considered a good cat for leaving anyways, why do anything else if you won't be rewarded with more? Peacock laughed to herself and kept on her path, not quite realizing she was making her way into another territory. "Hey Rogues, you around? You see, you can keep the kits if you want but if someone asks you have to tell them I worked hard at getting them back alright? I don't plan on staying out here all night looking for a bunch of fuzzballs, I have things to do. So we have a deal okay? Kits for a good ol' fashioned white lie. Good? Good." She called out, not expecting anyone to answer.
After a bit longer, Peacock felt her belly rumble and decided to find a snack before returning to camp. If she was lucky, the blood would convince them she fought hard for them too which was good. Quickly she lowered into her hunter stance and began to stalk the area for food. She wasn't really sure where she was but she assumed they wouldn't mind the loss of one tiny little piece of prey. If she could find one anyways, it wasn't looking that good for her weirdly enough. Soon enough the Apprentice gave up and was about to go when her large ears caught the rustle of some leaves. She jumped back into her stance and crawled up silently, preparing herself to pounce at the sight of the animal. One, two, go! The cat's hind legs pushed herself forward and she sprang into the bush, only to see another cat as she got closer. The two collided and rolled around in a mess of legs and tails until Peacock freed herself and jumped back. "Who are you?" She shrieked.
