“Lakepaw, wake up honey…”
“Nnng…Shut up.”
”I need you sweetie…Please wake up…”
“Leave me alone, whoever you are…”
”You know me, tadpole.”
A shockwave of pain splintered through his head, and caused the gray tom to flinch and shudder with pain. Tadpole… Only one called him that…
”I’ve got a different name now, woman…"
”I know, Lakesong, and it’s well deserved…But wake up…You’re needed.”
The female’s calming voice suddenly changed to a shriek of pain, a howl of bloody murder, and the action sent a wave of memories through the male. He too screeched out in pain as the vision of blood passed through him, and he saw her face, small and delicate, mutilated beyond repair, and it brought him a massive helping of regret and guilt that only served to amplify his wail of agony and anger. He struggled to his delicate webbed feet, every bit of his tabby, striped fur sticking out like tiny needles, revealing the silver scales underneath. His fin, bright and pink, completely unfolded, and stood up straight like a sail, and his eyes finally parted, their bright green depths scanning the area, looking for the source of the voice. He had a firm grasp of who it belonged to moments ago, but now he could only see her face, not remember her name. That was enough though, enough to send the calmest cat into a wild frenzy of cries. His chest heaved as he tried to calm his erratic heart, but the images of the soft, friendly and delicate female sent him into another whirl of emotion though as electricity seemed to run through the Riverclan cat’s body again, making him shriek again.
”Don’t lost sight of the truth, Lakesong…”
He shuddered for a moment before he reigned in his emotions once more. His eyes narrowed a bit as he lost himself in thought. His cries much have caught the unwanted attention of someone nearby, as there was a rustle in the bushes, and a feline burst from the bushes. Lakesong’s eyes narrowed, and quickly, the injuries on his head barely hindering his instinct. He too leapt, and high enough to jump above them, and he sank his fangs into their scruff before throwing them up into the air by using the weight of his tail to assist him when his mean muscles could not. The assailant flew up higher, surprised that his medicine cat, such a calm, collected pacifist, had attacked him, and caught him off guard. He wasn’t done though. His large scaly tail came down upon it’s belly, smashing it painfully into the ground and sending up a spray of blood from it’s insides.
The unfortunate feline writhed in pain for a minute, and searched desperately for the medicine cat to question his betrayal, but he only caught a glimpse of his pink frill disappearing beyond the trees.
"I'll never forget."

Summary: Lakesong was attacked by a rogue, as he quickly caught up with his swimming abilities, but he was however overpowered after pursuing them on land, and they left him for dead. He woke up only to find that he remembered nothing, though he didn’t seem too alarmed, only infuriated. His last memory was the death of his first love, the medicine cat before him, though his memories are messed up, and he believes he found her murdered rather than accidentally squished by a tree. His pacifist nature disappears along with his medical knowledge, and he vows to take vengeance on whoever did it, though he has no leads.
Extra: Seeing as Lakesong lost his position as Medicine cat, I believed that the best way for him to become a warrior without it seeming too cheesy. I drew the attached picture. Click to enlarge.
