Just an idea I had, and I felt like the Dark Forest needed something. You can use any cat, whether it's a dead, Dark Forest cat from this site, a made-up cat just for this, or one from another site, I don't care. Just have fun. Anyone can join. I personally will be using a tom from a fanfic that I wrote and maybe a she-cat later.

A dim, sickly green glow invaded Swiftriver's eyes as he blinked them slowly open. He felt stronger than he ever had before, but something lingered at the back of his mind that he couldn't quite place. "I died." He realized presently that this must be what ThunderClan had called the Dark Forest. He got to his feet, flexed his claws experimentally, and wandered into the grim landscape. Tall, spiky gray spires of rock rose out of the ground, interspersed between tall trees. Fog swirled around his feet, strengthening him more as he walked. The glowing green moss was the only light and that was faint through the thick fog. Home for Swiftriver now.

(Oooh, I feel like I should jump in on this. Being the Dark Forest, I'll toss aside what I was thinking before and use Jet c:) There I was. Another sleepless night- or was it day?- wandering the Dark Forest. I stretched out my slender body, fluffed my sleek, black fur, and sat up from the wisp of moss on my branch. Yawning and peering down into the mist, I heard a faint, subtle voice whisper, "I died." I rolled my eyes at the most obvious statement, but all the same my ears perked up and I lashed my tail. Could there really be another cat down there? And why would they appear close by? I wonder how big this place really is. Most likely infinite. I wish I could find Bonestar, it would be so fantastic to hunt forever with him in this dump.
I wound my way down to the lower branches of my tree, still off of the ground but now encased in a thin layer of the endless fog. Taking a moment to admire the beautifully glowing moss that shone almost as green as my eyes, I leapt along and quietly followed the slow steps coming from the forest floor. But wait... is it me just going crazy, or is it a rabid squirrel, or... but they spoke. I padded about restlessly as the shuffling creature walked on. In a low voice, I called out from behind where I'd heard them. "...Hello?"

Swiftriver whirled around at the sound of another voice, searching the fog for another cat. Finally he spotted the thin black form of another cat. He hissed at it, stone gray, black-spotted fur bristling. "Who are you?" He asked warily, padding closer, still ready to fight. He knew what kind of cats could be in the dark forest. With his long legs he reached the other cat quickly and braced himself for an attack. The green light made it hard to see as his eyes adjusted.

I watched as the poor Tom spun around, swirling up fog in his conquest to find me. I wearily lept down from my branch in the air as he hissed, now consumed in the fog just as he was. A spotted, dull-gray Tom... very interesting. The air hung stale and stiff with tension as he spoke. "Who are you?" He, clearly caught off guard but all the same still alert, quickly ran towards me, seemingly ready for a fight. I simply sat down, flicking my tail back and forth, pleased, almost ecstatic but keeping my composure.
"Easy, easy. I'm considered one of the scum scraped up, how long ago... I'm not even sure. The infamous Duskclan was once led by myself, and before I, Bonestar. He was a sad soul, I know he's wandering about in here. He was so embracing to death, yet I could see in his face that there was so much to be done, so much he regretted on holding back. And then Ciel-" No. I smiled. It was too much. I was telling this stranger too much, too fast. But he would be the only one to know. Who knows when I'll meet another soul... not that I want to cause much more grief upon a cat, one who is sinned into the dank beauty that is this forest. I shook my head, protesting against myself.
I gazed sharply at the location where his eyes- most likely, but I have to say I've seen weirder- were. "I am Jet, from a Clan that fell apart with time. We used to take in the weak and poor, to bring them up with the mercy of darkness and throw them into the light again and show them the blindness of those born to it. We used to say that killing is by all means okay, and even... necessary. I do not want to attack you, and even if I did I get the feeling that it isn't physically possible in this place." I never understood it, how quick I was to feed this Tom's wonder, probably because for once I wasn't stuck with my own conscience. "And who," I asked quietly, ignoring the growing sound of chittering, "Are you?"

He sat down, dark eyes gleaming, as the other cat told its story. "I am Swiftriver, I would have been leader of ThunderClan but my sister, Ashnose, betrayed me and my brother Leaffall helped her. I was also very high up in BloodClan. I've never heard of this 'DuskClan'. Either I've been dead longer than I thought or you have been here a very long time."
(I feel stupid asking but since you write in first person I can't tell. Is Jet a boy or a girl?)

(No probs. Jet is a female c: I don't usually go first person if the character's gender isn't obvious, but this photo is something I scrapped up from the original Fourclans and looks very boyish :3 Can't help but to admire those eyes...) I kneaded my claws into the torn, dirty grass, anticipation roiling up for his response. He didn't look very aged for being captured by the darkness, that was certain. "I am Swiftriver, I would have been leader of ThunderClan but my sister, Ashnose, betrayed me and my brother Leaffall helped her. I was also very high up in BloodClan. I've never heard of this 'DuskClan'. Either I've been dead longer than I thought or you have been here a very long time." "Mmmm...." I thoughtfully sat for a moment, drinking in the story and circumstances.
"Swiftriver. And Ashnose, and Leaffall. Very nice." I continued to nod, puzzling the situation out. "You know, I've never really dealt with those spiritual names before, but your Clans definitely have an interesting way of that. Leader of ThunderClan? I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's not right, or others think that it isn't right, or simply the stars are not in your favor. No matter why, I feel sorry for anyone who has to give up the experience of being responsible, truly responsible, for someone else's desire..." Pausing, I listened out into the forest again as the fog slightly lightened up. The chatters of creatures never grew distant, only louder if everything. A new scent had risen, apparently in the form of Swiftriver. If anything, I lowered my voice more, keeping an eye out towards the treetops all the while.
"You know what, betrayal is so very common among weaker. Even if you adore someone or have lived with them in a Den for twenty Moons, we don't ever know who will bite. Normally it's a sour flavor. Their desire is to fulfill what their dirtily small minds want, and then the glory is left into dust for others to mourn and for them to get bored, ever carving a path of despair until snap, they're swept up by a truer glory." Another pause. "I have too much time to think in here. I've never heard of BloodClan, and how sad. Maybe they were like my own Clan, hm? But then I question, why are you here? If BloodClan was just as bad, then you must have had to kill without mercy at least once. Maybe even with mercy. And betrayal from ThunderClan, intriguing. I can't help but question more about your story, maybe even question why you're banished to this... erm.... disgrace."

Swiftriver shot her a glare. "To be honest I had always wanted to end up here, rather than with that pathetic bunch of cowards they call StarClan. In fact, I did everything I could to end up in the Dark Forest, to the point of killing Leaffall's little friend Ivyleaf before they could go any further and killing Ashnose...Ashstar...before she got her nine lives. So this is no disgrace for me, I never was the good kit."

My eye twitched as Swiftriver glared in my direction. Here I am, on the verge of angering another cat by using my common sense. I guess nothing in the Dark Forest has to make much sense anymore. So this is no disgrace for me, I never was the good kit." I couldn't help but shake my head and let a grin flash over my face. "Someone who's determined to get down here. Somehow I very much admire that, certainly much more as you accomplished revenge on your sibling..."
Sighing heavily, I sat still, looking over the Tom. Words needed to be left in the dust, or else I'd have a sore voice from speaking to a most likely illusion. I decided to be curt about my responses from then, as whatever rabid animal who chose him as real would as certain as day attack myself if I didn't help. "Who knows time anymore? I may have been here for quite a few weeks, but I don't know how long I sleep, even if the dreams that torment me are dreams at all. But your time has been about, how long is this conversation, quite a short time here. All the same, I would recommend standing completely still for a few more clicks. Who knows what menace you acquire. I had a menace of a rabid cat, I don't know how that illusion came to dance in my head." With that I quickly sprung to a tree branch, clawing up as the fierce squeal of a savage beast rang high and close, yet so, so far. "Ooh, yes, indeed, this is a new thing," I aired on, excited to meet his creature for myself but all the same longing for the shocked Swiftriver to pay with no harm to himself.

Swiftriver watched her randonly scramble up a tree, deciding she must have lost her mind here in the mist. He shook his head, annoyed. Nothing she was saying made any sense, something about dreams and rabid cats. He wasn't sure what she was getting at or if she was sane but if there was a rabid cat in the forest, he should probably get off the ground. He climbed to a thin, hidden tree branch in a tree next to hers.

Maybe I was going insane, or maybe it was just only on my end, but I could tell that Swiftriver was more confused than concerned as he climbed into another tree. My eyes darted back and forth, as all sound that was heard from the forest floor had suddenly vanished. No more creatures? Hardly likely. Who knew where they had went. "Listen," I hissed, stupefied, "I'm not insane. Just like how we probably can't touch each other, I think this is the same way, except you can't hear it either." I shuddered as a faint huff and rumbling ensued on the ground. There, rummaging among the dirt, was a badger, large, black and looming, its head just below the lowest branches of the trees. It could definitely smell the lingering souls, but couldn't determine where the smell was coming from. He's even stupider than living badgers.
"He's definitely looking... that's also definitely a new sin. I think all of the creatures are based on your actions or bad habits, somehow... maybe this used to be my rabid cat. I hope it has eyes." My excitement, fear and wonder was sneaking up too quickly, my voice had indefinitely risen. Eyes widening, I sat back on my branch. The monster turned, revealing sharp, dead, deep yellow eyes. "Okay, okay... you aren't hurting me this time, I'm stronger than a stupid badger. I don't have to care for cats any more, I know that now!" With that I suddenly lept, jumping onto the badger and scrabbling up to the back of his head, my claws tearing at his face as much as possible.

Swiftriver half tuned out the rambling of the black cat and focused on the badger that had just appeared. It seemed to be searching for her and it quickly found her when she raised her voice. She leaped down at the badger, tearing at its face. Even though she was a Dark Forest cat, he didn't think she could do it alone. He jumped to the ground silently behind the bader, lashing out with all his strength and tearing at the badgers sides and back with needle-sharp claws.

(Posting at two in the morning, and might I say I'll probably not sleep again without any time dilation or some type of space flight theory shoved in as food for thought.) As I bit my way through the roaring creature that flailed in surprise, I saw the Tom jump up as well to help. The knowledge of a two-fought battle became overwhelming as the badger attempted to twist around and reach Swiftriver and I. He can see it!! I wonder what this monstrosity symbolizes to us. I clawed sharply at his large, dark neck as Swiftriver attacked his back, making the resistant, gruff roar linger further.
"Haha! You servant of kitty pets, obeying every command spat into your bloody face! You have no right to turn up your anger on us if it's controlled by a low pet for their own cause." With that I jumped to the ground and sprung back at the badger's face, dangerously biting its muzzle. Unfortunately, in the wild frenzy of battle, he saw my blind rage. He retaliated, snapping his jaws and hitting me at the ground with his head as I watched Swiftriver cling to its back.

Swiftriver saw her get hit and the badger turned to him. He leaped into the air, landing near the badgers back, and sunk all ofhis claws as deep into its neck as he could, shoving them deeper and deeper. He struggled to get a good bite in as it nearly shook him off.
