Alrighty, gomen this is late I'm a lazy sack of shit. So here's all the info on the new cats I've got and it'll be good so we can move on and get stuff done.
So they're sea cats, logical since this is based in the British Isles and they are, as the name implies, islands. So we can have you know, cats based on sea creatures like sharks and octopus and squids and seahorses and what have you. I was gonna make them just deep-sea ones but ehh, RiverClan cats are all river animals-esque so lets have sea monsters. Their adaptations are vastly different from the land cats as they are all 3rd tier and have way more... parts? to them to make them spooky. I'm gonna be using my cat Pip for examples 'cause it's easy.
Pip is based on a Blue-Ringed Octopus, so he has tentacles on his neck, and when flared out they look like a mane. He also has glowly blue circles on him and powerful venom. He has funnels on his cheeks to intake water and blow it out to make him swim better like a octopus. He's super squishy and flexible and can use rudimentary camouflage. He has ink sacks too, just in case. He has a lot, and every cat will. Maybe a shark cat has a dorsal fin and a shark tail and cartilage bones instead of real bones? Maybe a pufferfish cat has spikes and can puff up? It'll be fun.
These cats also have fully functional aquatic and land respiratory systems. When one is in use the other is blocked, simple. They're also bald, Pip is a Sphinx cat. Sea creatures don't have fur, it's simple and makes them more alien looking.
Their names, now because they believe in a fucking terror monster (I'll get to that after) they have hella long names. Pip's full name is Shgvbthrol'Goorspipfn'Nnyuld'Hothahty'Jotot, complete gibberish that no one can pronounce. Their shortened names will only be 3-6 letters long and come from their long name. They can easily pronounce each other's names but the land cats can't so they're considerate. Their names also mean something super mystic and strange, like bad Engrish kinda stuff. Example, Blessed Child who Dances, or Hunter of the Sacred Night, or Enraged by the Storm Winds, you get me. They're stupid, I love it, I can't wait to see what people come up with.
This group believes in a scary many eyed, many mouthed, many armed beast. It is an angry god they must please, so there are 5 priests who stay full-time at a sacred holy cave thing and there is no leader of the group. They have a council of Holy Ones, like 3 hella old cats. The priests take some hallucinogenic plants or seaweed or whatever and they trip out and if the great Kafe'Naru-Gorath demands something they'll do everything they can to fulfil it. Hence them coming to land to use the good ol' manifest destiny. I'm looking at you Americans B]]] Spooky monster man wants more land, therefore these cats are destined to take over that land. But they're not about to hunt and kill all these land creatures, they decide to set up camp outside and watch. They will send out their emissaries to spread the word of the horrifying beast and converters will be allowed in nbd.
These cats are not savage and angry, they prefer to learn and slowly infiltrate like pigeons or some other invasive species I can't think of any better ones. They'll plant their seeds, the seeds will grow, they take over. They also make their emissaries stay in the Clans, acting like ordinary Clanmates but always watching and always converting. The rest of them live in sea caves but will come visit when the time is right.
Any questions about the Philosophers can be posted and I'll answer them I'm literally writing this all from memory I feel like I forgot shit but I can't remember for the life of me.
