[/li][li]Design adaptation sheets and basics of each clan. Thank you cobalt!
[/li][/ul]
What has been completed:
I'll start somewhere easy for all of us. Lets design a new bio form. The one we have is way outdated for all of the new things we've included. Those of you who have finished your bios using the old form, don't worry about changing it.
Okay, I would love to have one of the fancy bio forms like the ones Oakey used on occasion that had the actual box that was colored, a certain font, the works, but that's not necessary if no one knows how to make them or wants them.
What we do need is a Name blank that has a reason for naming blank below it. Then the basics such as age,affiliation,species/breed, status and gender. Then we should also include a place for the picture to be, but I'd like if the picture was located at the top. There should be a physical description blank and it should be five, well written sentences. That doesn't mean, "She has brown fur." That is a carp sentence. It should be more like "She has a sleek, soft coat of fur that is a light shade of brown, much like the bark of a pine tree." or something like that. It really bugs me (and other people. I'm sure of it) that I put a lot of effort into thinking of a character, and I spend a lot of time describing the aspects of it to get it accepted, only to have someone who writes like a two year old get accepted, especially when it comes to PoPs and admin positions. The personality and history blank is a given, and should also have sentences similar to the physical description. Then, since I loved that nice reference sheet that was made for Riverclan, we should have an adaptations blank that lists the adaptation type (type one being the least prominent adaptations, type two being more prominent, but not as severe as type three, who should show the most severe adaptations) and the specific adaptations that are there. Then there should be a roleplay sample and a password phrase blank that applies only to the first bio. This is only for the cats. Once we decide what applies to the dogs and humans, we'll make a separate bio for them.
Anything else we should include?
Just as a side note, (and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone on this site, since I've been on a lot of different sites and seen this happen often) PoPs in Roleplaying and Admin positions should be discussed with the entire site before we decide who is suited for the position. I really hate when you've been on a site for a long time, waiting to get that PoP/admin position with that Kickass bio you spent a few hours on and then the person who is best friends with the admin get is simple because they're friends with the admin. We should put up a voting poll when we have issues such as that to deal with. Specifically with admins, we should have nominations, then voting for who gets the admin position and why, then have a majority vote, and give the winner that position. It makes it seem a lot more fair when you can see exactly why you didn't get that position.
Lets take this discussion one part at a time. We got a little too confused last time. We're only discussing rules and suggestions for bios now. We won't be ruse to each other, and we'll respect each other. If you don't agree with what someone says, politely state your reasons why you don't think their idea is good for the site, and why they think that their idea or someone else's idea is better.
Alright guys~ I can't do this by myself, so I need you to comment with your opinions and suggestions.
