R O W A N F U R I can be your lost boy, your last chance
Not everyone can be hunters. Rowanfur sighed as he rested his angular head on his white paws. Muscles still twinged and ached from the battle, and his pelt was littered with an accumulation of cuts and grazes. The pain was good, it reminded him he was still there. He was, but half the clan wasn't. Rogues had stolen the clans kits, and a large number of warriors had gone to find them. The ginger warrior recalled the looks of disgust he had received when he didn't jump to his paws and bound out of camp at the news. Rowanfur preferred to hang about behind the stage, to make sure everything is running smoothly, to make sure all is well. He knew he was a pitiful hunter, a pathetic waste of space, so why bother going to find the kits? He was an alright fighter, nothing special, and the camp needed protection. There were still a few cats hanging about, and he didn't want to have their deaths knocking about his brain if he left them. So, he stayed.

but i'll lead you all to forever. <><><><><>
She sat at the entrance of her den, exhausted from the fight. She'd been exhausted for days, ever since the Gathering. It had been the same before, when she'd lost her other lives. Unable to sleep, only able to think for nearly a quarter-moon. It was awful. Just one more reason to be careful. So when the yowl came from the nursery and all of WindClan turned to her, Miststar didn't spring to her paws. She looked out with clear, calm eyes and said to them, "You know what to do. Split up, I want a good tracker heading each group if possible. Nobody leave camp alone. I trust you all." She watched as her warriors left, then stood and stretched slowly. She wanted nothing but sleep, but the silver-pelted leader also knew that there wasn't a chance of resting right now.
She padded over to one of the newer warriors, Rowanfur, who was laying down on his own. "Sitting out this round?" She laid down beside him with a little hrrrumph. Miststar always enjoyed company, no matter what the occasion. "I suppose there are quite enough out there already. No point in sending out every cat in the Clan." She yawned. "I'd have thought a new warrior like yourself would be a bit more eager, though. What keeps you?"

Sitting out of this one?
Rowanfur felt a jolt of surprise at the voice beside him, and looked up to see his leader. The pale grey she-cat lay beside him, and he felt a momentary wave of fear. Had he done something wrong? She seemed happy enough, so he drew a somewhat shaky breath to calm himself. Ears pricked, he listened attentively to what Miststar had to say, his round orange orbs locked with her jade-green pools. He had always admired the light-footed leader of her level-headedness and kindness. In honesty, he had hardly talked to her face to face, save for his apprentice and warrior ceremonies.
When he realized she hadn't spoken for a few long moments he registered the questions she had put to him. For a moment more he tried to discern why he was sitting out. Yes, I fear I am sitting this o-one out. I, uh, recognize I may not be the most skilled of hunters, and I want t-to protect the camp if t-there's another attack, he began, eyes narrowing slightly as he continued, If I were a rogue, I would have planned two waves of attack; one to steal the kits and another to attack afterwards. To c-catch the clan unaware. I'm worried that's what they've done. I am concerned for the kits, but the camp must be defended too. ______________________________

FLICKERPAW
Flickerpaw bounded up, her energy seeming out of place by a long shot."I know ya are restin' and all, but is there anythin' Ah can do? Prefer'bly not alone?" The she-cat drawled, eyes focused on both the leader and the young warrior. She could see their cuts, oh yes, they looked painful. Staying in camp was making her anxious, and she felt jittery, like she'd had reverse poppy seeds or something. The flame point tilted her ears back and forth, listening to the sounds surrounding them as she awaited a reply. It just seemed like it was taking so long! Now the apprentice was jumping from paw to paw, shift her weight as she stood, almost as if nervous energy coursing through her veins instead of blood. ooc;;
