Hey look I got bored and doodled an idea for the variation on our fishy cats. Here's the text if you can't read my handwriting: fig. a minimum variation (from real cats)- expanded ribcage and lung capacity
- waterproofed fur
- webbed paws
- broad, flat tail
Only cats with very little variation would be able to hunt on land, so they would be an asset in leaf-bare. fig. b average variation- second set of transparent eyelids
- rudimentary fins
- sparse scales in facial area
- ungainly on land
- everything noted in fig. a
A feline with near-average variation would be capable of attending gatherings regularly and fighting on land, but certainly not hunting. fig. c maximum variation- whiskers short, less sensitive
- sparse scales throughout
- fully developed fins
- "waddles" on land
- everything noted in fig. a and b
These cats would undoubtedly be in the water as much as possible. Fighting on land would require a lot of training and practice, and they'd want to attend Gatherings less frequently unless they were in a position of Power.
Thoughts? I might make one for every clan once the ideas are better developed.

Im just gonna drop this here, its part of my bio for my RC cat Tigerfang.
"Because of his RiverClan ancestry, Tigerfang has webbed paws and longer claws to be more efficient in the water. Patches of scales are hidden under his fur which shimmer when the sun hits them correctly. Rudimentary gills are found on his head, just behind his eyes. They allow him to breathe under the water for a limited amount of time and stay under the river for longer than any other cats outside of RiverClan. Because of the adaptations of his Clan he is an exellent swimmer and diver."
Those are the entire thoughts I wanted on RC to be quite honest.

I'm gonna focus more on BloodClan since I'm the leader.
- Larger, sharper, more deadly claws/teeth. - Vampire/cannibalistic tendencies, though neither is needed for survival. -- BloodClan kits tend to be born with a thirst for blood and if they act on this thirst long enough, they can develop cannibalistic tendencies. -- These, of course, come at a price. The blood and flesh could quite possibly drive them to the brink of insanity. Doesn't happen to every cat, but if you're not careful, it could very well happen to you. - Much, MUCH more brutal training than the other Clans. Some apprentices won't ever make it into becoming warriors. - I was actually maybe going to add more ranks to BloodClan, since they aren't your typical Clan. -- Slaves -- Assassins -- Spies -- You wouldn't be able to make bios for these, the leader would have to pick them, which means you would actually have to get on the leader's good side IC. I think it could help boost activity. c: - If it doesn't bother you guys, maybe they could be, like, "Satanic," ya know? Like, they hate StarClan and instead worship the bad guys? (; - For their territory, I was thinking like... an abandoned section of the two-leg place? It would look all end of the world-ish. Could I make the board descriptions, maybe?

Yes, I think this is all reasonable.
Ven, yes, it would be great if you'd write the descriptions. You can pm me everything and I'll put it in, or you can be made a temporary admin. I'll try to think of stuff for the other Clans as well so we can move along to territory and history.

I really love the idea of Leaders choosing stuff, I always wanted to choose Warrior names like a real Leader ouo *Coughs* Ven has it all figured out and Im jelly cause Im uncreative. Must make RC interesting...
And Ven, for my BloodClan Meddie I wanted him to have like, defected from another Clan and join BC to be a Meddie there. But would they accept him if he is non-BloodClan? If not Ill change his history and name, I just want your thoughts.

Ehe, I should make an RC apprentice and let you choose their suffix, Blizz. Traditionalism would keep me from disliking it for sure. I think it would be a wonderful suprise, I'd be just as excited as the kitty. ^^

You can keep the history, sounds like it would be fun to play out. c: Your cat will have to work for the leader's approval, though.
Anyone have suggestions you wanna toss out for BC terrain?

Mm, if they're at least partially in an abandoned Twolegplace, how about an old graveyard for part of it? I'll edit this later if I come up with anything else.

Uhh...Maybe ThunderClan cats are a lot larger and can 'shock' other cats and animals?

I'm going to pop on back to the adaptations part.
We all seem to be modeling the cats after creatures. Bloodclan cats are like vampire bats; They suck blood. Shadowclanners are moles; They have very large claws that they can't retract anymore, and they have poor vision, especially in the sun. Riverclanners are fish/amphibians that they can breathe underwater and have adaptations to help them swim better. Skyclan cats are kind of like mountain goats, in my mind at least; They have thick fur to protect them from the cold, and their paws are very thick so they don't get hurt or freeze, and they tend to be pretty light, so they can navigate the rocky terrain. (Extra suggestions are welcome)
So let's put our noggins together and think. When I think of Windclan, I think of deserts, lizards and snakes, and hedgehogs along with birds of prey such as owls and eagles. What can we do with that? Maybe we could move the feather adaptation we planned for Skyclan to Windclan? At least for now, and maybe in the future, have the evolution of the new trait start? Throw out your ideas
Now, when I think of Thunderclan, I think of forests. That gives me the idea of these giant strange trees and really strange predators and prey, like mice the size of bears and badgers that are small like normal mice, so they have to hunt opposite of all the other clans. The trees could be like, very twisted and it provides them a way up to the treetops, where they camp. I like the idea of the extra toes and whatnot that helps them climb, but I also think they should be very large and powerful since that's how the book described them, and we want to keep closer to the book.
Also, I worked on a few boards yesterday (not many, but Skyclan has four, and Shadowclan had three. I personally think this isn't bad seeing as I had little to go on for both.), so tell me what you think of them.
Ven, also, since you're the leader of Bloodclan, you have a pretty big vote in this part. I'm going to list some potential BC territories, and you can tell me what you love and hate. Everyone else needs to tell me also, because this is a group activity, not a dictatorship.
Bloodclan can have:
Catacombs (Pun not intended) -This can be like their camp. They could have gotten all the bodies out and used the large areas where the coffins and bodies are stored to be their dens.
Graveyard - This can be their area closest to the camp. The outer edge is where they pile up their victims' bones and bodies to make a barrier, and the middle can be where they bury their dead and do all the clan activities.
Holding area - This could be where they keep their still alive victims before they eat them. No one likes a cold meals, right? This can be like an abandoned Morgue or tool shed nearby that they can't escape.
Worship Area - We can change the name, but this can be the place where they contact their religious figure (dark forest, or the devil, or whatever) and speak to them, and relieve prophecies and whatnot.
Blizzy, I'll put a summary of what I have for Riverclan too. Everyone else should comment as well.
Camp - I don't have an exact name for this, but its an almost completely submerged area where they have their dens. Only the top peeks out and gives them fresh air to breathe and provides an alternate route. The catch? Its straight in the middle of the water, so only Riverclan cats can find their way in. Above it is a web of interlocking tree branches that are thin and covered with algae and slime from the constant humidity. they're really slippery and difficult to navigate, but it provides an alternate route into the camp.
(I'll add a few more later. I have to go do something~)
